whoops, lost the link for the dinah/peggy number...here it is.
Dean Martin, the epitome of cool with that voice, good looks and rakish attitude. Great song !
Thanks, skippy, for dinah/peggy ... those gals could really belt it out, eh. btw, I enjoyed the Kathleen Edwards hockey video over at your site.
Frank Sinatra - Dean Martin - Sammy Davis
Those guys were the Holy Trinity of entertainers during that era. We miss them all.
Dean is sooooo good in What a Way to Go (almost as good as Shirley MacClaine). And let's not forget Rio Bravo with Ricky Nelson!
Rio Bravo with Ricky Nelson, Matt Helm films, the TV show
For a guy who listens to Steve Vai and Joe Satriani, I can't even believe I like Dean Martin as much as I do. Thanks for that little bit. I was only thinking the other day that I'd like to see the original Ocean's Eleven.
Dean Martin was a smooooth mofo...
VERY COOL.
What a fraud Dean Martin was. Couldn't even write his own songs, had to get others to do it for him. Unbelievable!
j/k
Please, oh please, someone tell me how to lighten up these videos. All I can see is a bobbing bow tie. Thank heaven I can hear something.
In addition to the extreme cool of having Red Norvo in the clip, there is the beauty of that last line about combat fatigue delivered to the three hotties sitting in front of the stage.
welcome, calgary lady. personally i loved the matt helm films, very much parody/spoofs years before (and ahead) of the austin powers films.
Kiss Me, Stupid - Dean Martin and Kim Novak
Ya gotta see this movie. It's Dino at his best.
