CSNY was good in the studio. They were not, however, very good in concert. Their harmonizing live was weak - sometimes painful. Listen to Suite: Judy Blue Eyes from Woodstock.
I had the pleasure of working a CS & N concert in the round at the u of nebr in the early 80's. One of my favorite experiences in music. Hell of a show.
Krisken, there's been music for thousands of years, and it's been less than 125 years, iirc, since Edison first recorded a peep- it's all modern, baby!
Great to see CSNY is still playing - after 40 + years! - but where are the harmonies? I guess they got old and their voices are different. Sad.
They still sound fine to me! I was pleased to hear how good they still sound. This trailer made me want to see the documentary. The last line from the song "Deja Vu," "We have all been here before," has added poignancy in the context of the film's antiwar theme. That song was written during the Vietnam era; now we're involved in another unnecessary war, this time in Iraq.

I had been just going through some tunes and always like to hit the "Prime Prine" album and this utube does not do the original 1971 version justice. Still cool though

They still have their good moments, but fewer and farther between. Of course their die-hard groupies are in total denial and think its never been better, but the objective listener can't help but cringe on some of their live stuff lately.
