C&L's Late Night Music Club with Joy Division
Headline from NME on 2/14/2012:
Jamie Oliver finds Joy Division and New Order master tapes in restaurant basement
Hmmm...Joy Division and New Order masters found in an abandoned bank's basement? Alongside guns, gold and jewelry? I sense the hand of the late producer Martin Hannett (here portrayed by Andy Sirkis- NSFW in a Mancunian sort of way).
Who are the musicians whose lost recordings you'd love to hear?

I have ALL pop-ups blocked, they use too many tricks.
I only enable them for TRUSTED sites.
C&L even had an advertiser pulling pop-up sneakies a couple weeks ago. So now.. blocked.
Wall Street is just a parasite on the actual labor and investments of average Americans.
Banks play with futures, debt paper, complex financial instruments, and other peoples incomes.
Sell 'em short & help 'em crash - Tear 'em apart & sell the pieces
That's one that hasn't happened to me before- the blocked embed, that is.
Gotta say that I block all of the pop-ups and ads here, too, From what I can tell, we don't deal with those advertisers directly. The advice I see super-nerd (I keeed!) tech-guy Jamie giving is to deal with those until they cycle out.

Well, it's not a lost recording, but I recall reading something that said that Robert Johnson toured with a full band. His few acoustic recordings are great. It'd be awesome if it was discovered that one of his "full band" shoes was recorded.
Hate to rain on the parade here and as much as I want to believe this to be true...
It's unfortunately another trick played upon the world's appetite for news...

"Once again the world has been duped by a fake story. I deliberately didn't post it yesterday because, frankly it smelt worse than old fish in the bins behind one of Jamies restaurants."
Well at least it allowed me to pose a question. So I got that goin' for me... :D

... the tracks he was about to record before they were lost in the muddy waters of the mississippi
Innocent Bystander, doesn't Sketches for My Sweetheart The Drunk qualify?
They don't have any unreleased songs from their classic period, but I'd love to hear any studio jams and alternate solos that ELP have from 1970-74 period.
and my sense is that he would have been horrified by the release of sketches ... i want the album that jeff would have approved
that being said, i have collected every jb bootleg that could get my hands on (from the early 90's, not 70's)
have you heard him singing "dido's lament" at meltdown fest and heard elvis costello's account of his appearance?
I listened to this on headphones so I could get it loud enough, and it was just awesome. JD, The Cure, Echo & The Bunnymen, and a few others stand like sublime mountains above the mediocre bands ... so much passion plus meticulous craftsmanship and intelligence!
Thanks much for the link!
I recently read that Eno had close to a hundred songs written for Before and After Science: I'd like to hear them.

I remember being thrilled when the "lost" fourth Velvets LP was "found". I'm old...

Cigarettes and Valentines:Green Day
Cigarettes and Valentines was an unreleased studio album from punk rock band Green Day that would have been the proper follow-up to 2000's Warning.[1] In the summer of 2003, the album was nearly finished when the master recordings of 20 tracks were stolen from the studio.[2] Instead of re-recording the album, the band decided to start from scratch, leading to the creation of American Idiot.

Orange County Suite: The Doors
The Lost Paris Tapes is the title given to a recorded collection of unedited poems and songs by rock musician and poet Jim Morrison of The Doors. Although Morrison intentionally made the recordings, they are considered bootlegs because they were never officially released to the public in their unedited form by Morrison or his heirs.

I'd love to hear some unreleased Kate Bush. She's very protective of her material and must have some stuff that she's held back. Also I'd love to hear some working mixes of Eno's early solo stuff. I get the impression that things change substantially as the evolve in the studio.
