Generally hate covers, but it's more tolerable than the ones they got nowadays. Speaking of Simpson, it's funny that the media suddenly turned on her because she became more full-figured.
I guess that's putting it mildly. Sweet Dreams.
Oh and Tom, some people said the same thing about those bands. That it wasn't music. Namely my parents. Eh, same old stuff I guess. Alice Cooper was the first one to go down that road.
mcr was asked to cover the song for the upcoming movie, Watchmen
the movie takes place in 1985
for some reason, the lead singer thinks the punk movement occured in the 80s (kids today) he also thinks the song sounds like the pistols or the ramones...but really, it sounds like a bad billy idol cover
I don't like most covers either. But the one that's got to take the cake for the worst is whoever does that rap/hip hop version of Blondie's "The Tide is High". Dishonorable mention goes to Lenny Kravitz for his version of "American Woman".
This song features Marilyn Manson about as much as an episode of "The Wonder Years" without Paul in it does.
Dope were a soundalike group formed by the sort of late-90s also-ran losers you might have the misfortune to see wearing gigantic oversized boots on a particularly hot day hanging out but not buying anything in a record store owned by someone they know primarily due to drugs-related transactions.
They had minuted meetings about how to copy other shitty bands, a guitarist who got busted for criminal violations including having sex with underage girls and (arguably worse) joining Static-X, as well as some of the worst drum machine sounds ever committed to audio format(s).

Yeah.. don't mind the fact that she's only mildly talented, but heaven forbid she should actually put on a pound or two.
Don't you miss the days when only supermarket tabloids covered this incessant celebrity gossip crap?

So, when is Marilyn Manson recording the Great American Songbook ala Rod Stewart ?
Still waiting for the follow up to Mechanical Animals - hasn't put out any new material worthwhile in 10 years. What a shame.

Random, but I went to a bar last night that was playing a Manson concert on a huge screen and wow. I was honestly freaked out at parts.
