Metallica - For Whom The Bell Tolls
From the days they made good proper metal.
Bite my shiny metal ass.

MC 5
"cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war"
The wacky video for La Gallina.
And some Selena, La Carcacha, a little tune about a beat up car. :P And a favorite of mine from her, Ya No.
One that brings back childhood memories of Telemundo in the background, Gloria Trevi's Zapatos Viejos

To me, Ozomatli captures the Los Angeles early 21st century zeitgeist like Los Lobos did to the 80s and 90s. These guys play all over LA...club venues and art galleries, park concerts, arenas. Their first album just ripped...one of the most solid first releases I have ever heard...start to finish, not a clunker in the bunch (I'm partial to Misma Cancion).
Street Signs is just all around awesome.
My son gave me their first album (crap, I meant CD. showing my age.) and said "Dad, you should listen to this." I try never to miss them when they come around. I think I have seen them 8 or nine times. Great show always. They always do good.
