Late Night Music Club with Julie London

Title: My Heart Belongs to Daddy [Cole Porter]
Artist: Julie London

Okay, so the 'daddy' Julie London is singing to isn't exactly the one we celebrate on Father's Day, but if your dad is like mine, it doesn't make a bit of difference: It's JULIE, for crying out loud.

Share what you're listening to tonight, daddies and the rest....

Me too.

Marilyn did have such a way with words. I love how she says "daddy".

JULIE LONDON!?

Well let's just START AN IV with D5W and Ringers Lactate!

And how is it that she and Bobby Troup, both jazzers, came to be cast together in Emergency 51? Weird. Who was the casting director, Oscar Peterson?

I need a crush-ectomy heavy on the D5W and Ringers Lactate, stat!

ps, no worries about the bill!

;)

Well I don't know about Julie London, but I'm guessing Bobby Troup's other potential TV gig, auditioning for the part of the Jeep driver from MASH who just says "goddamn Army" all the time, didn't pass the network censors, and he was stuck playing Dr. Joe Early.

He was pretty good in the role, though. Except for that episode where he was supposed to have heart surgery, so they took his shirt off and had Julie London shave his chest. Yeesh...I don't care how "erotic" the writers thought that might be. I STILL have nightmares about it!

Together at last: Yusuf Islam and Sylvia Plath. (Limited engagement.)

Va va va voom!!! (Oh wait, I'm gay.) Great voice. Sultry! Wow.

My dad once told me he is a "tit man", which was too much information for me (cuz I'm gay) and my mother is, well, flat.

As a horny college student in the 60s I would lie in bed at night listening to Julie while doing naughty things to myself...my favorite of hers..."Cry Me A River"...easily the sexiest song ever!
