The key word in Late Night Music Club is MUSIC. Who buys this Alice Cooper rip off? UGH.
We all knew Brian in Ft. Lauderdale in the late 80's when they were still MM & the Spooky Kids. Would wear rainbow tights, Doc Martens, had Coke bottle glasses, hippie hair & a pentagram,... the band sounded like it as being thrown down an elevator shaft. Smart boy, but couldn't he have been an accountant instead?
Oh be quiet, if you don't like it just move along.
If you listened to MM & The Spooky Kids, then heard this song up there (and any other albums after Portrait), you'll see the band has *completely* transformed over and over again. The name has stayed basically the same, but the music has changed 7 or more times, making it difficult for me to buy that someone just dislikes MM in general... because, you know, there is no "general" MM at all.
Well, given that in none of his incarnations has Warner been a terribly good singer or songwriter, it's pretty simple to form an overall opinion of his artistic merit. It may not be generally the same music, but the quality level has been generally low.
Bowie did it well. Madonna did it, well, less well. Warner is more akin to Madonna than Bowie on the marketing-to-talent continuum.
we all wore docs or cons back then.
anyway, their shows were the most entertaining thing happening in our city at that time unless you could make it out to the Cameo. whats the problem?
And Brian is clinging to his.
If we're not careful, Marilyn will be a single digit handicap at various country clubs, just like his inspiration, Alice.
Stay gold, Brian/Marilyn, stay gold.
I thought Dita was the better half... still, he puts on a pretty entertaining show...

Just a thought.
Verra nice. Much more my style of music.
It's scary but I've been listening to this dude fully half my life ... I'm 25.
But Manson hasn't been anything resembling 'scary' for awhile now. For real creeps Halloween music, I'd highly recommend this:

....id'n he, like, old... n' stuff. huhe hehe huh huh.
I love Manson, that guy reinvigorated music.
What, you couldn't find MM's version of "This is Halloween" from "The Nightmare Before Christmas" to play instead?
Heh, I *just* found out about that cover the other day.
Since Nightmare Before Christmas is already a personal favorite, and I don't dismiss Marilyn Manson out of hand (his Bowie pastiche on Mechanical Animals and the entirety of Holy Wood are both top form concept albums), this redub is a delight to watch.
D
I love Manson! This is actually one of my very favorite songs from him. I was glad to see it wasn't that tired "Sweet Dreams" song.
The world is big enough for Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson -- and KISS too. ;)
Kiss wasn't good enough to be Alice Cooper's backup band.
Sure their popular again now, but so is Duran Duran.
Personal Jesus.
Sweet Dreams
Elected.

Welcome to my nightmare.
Although, he's not very original, I don't think...Alice Cooper did this over 25 years ago. Kiss, of course had the theatrical concerts with make up, and fake blood.
And some other guy...a death metal band...King Diamond...something or other...he was in make up and and crazy looking clothes...though he was pretty shitty compared to Manson...
That said, the guys a bloody genius.
I love the dead.
Guillotine encore.
Crazy Train
