On this day in 1991, Santana, the Grateful Dead, Neil Young, John Fogerty and others played in from of 350,000 at Bill Graham's memorial service in Golden Gate Park.
You've got the ability to link to any music/video you wish, yet you don't. There's a long tradition on LNMC threads to go off topic, as long as you link music. So, please, shit or get off the pot.
BTW, from my reading of your past comments (you did this same "on this date this happened to one of the boomer-anointed bands" thing on my Colorpulse/Sagan/Hawking post last week), you seem focused on the musicians of your youth. I'm not going to tell you that I don't think much of that music, because it was the stuff I listened to as a rugrat, and it holds a special place in my heart. But if you back out to the LNMC homepage, you'll see posts on Jimi Hendrix, Sam & Dave, Cream and Peter Gabriel, boomer acts all, but there's Stanley Jordan on there, too, as well as Rashaan Roland Kirk, and some music of a more recent vintage.
Look, I'm not telling you you've got to expand your horizons....But I'll suggest you be willing to allow others to expand theirs. :D
