Marshall's second album, "Field Day," is a total pop gem! I've heard a lot of criticism that Steve Lillywhite, who produced it, loaded it with way too much reverb, and there's some truth to that. But the songs are out-and-out masterpieces of pop songwriting. That album should've gotten much more credit than it did.

Some love for Marshall is way overdue. Whenever I play him for friends they love him. He epitomizes American Pop and no one knows who he is.
