I must admit that being a professional musician has taken its toll on me lately. The years of heavy touring, lack of steady paychecks/job security, and dealings with biz types have left me so jaded that sometimes I find it hard to remember how good I felt when I plugged in with my first band in that basement so long ago. Lucky for me, this James Gang video exists. I watch this and I think, 'I want to be in this band'. I play air guitar and sing at the top of my lungs. I look at my bass in the corner and see an old friend as opposed to a cruel mistress that has led me down a dead end street. I am inspired to rock. I am compelled to roll. Thank you Joe Walsh for being a bad-ass. Thank you Jim Fox for the insane drum fills. Thank you Dale Peters for laying it down on the Fender P-bass. Enjoy ya'll. I'm off to grow a moustache and sew a seahorse on my jacket sleeve...
