C&L's Late Night Music Club With The Raconteurs

Jack White has always done his own thing, finding new ways to create funky, unique guitar tones. I went through a White Stripes phase, but that project didn't move me as much as his work with The Raconteurs. This live version of Consoler Of The Lonely from 2008 is loose and angry -- White's stock in trade.

If you didn't catch it, Jack was featured along with The Edge and Jimmy Page in a documentary about the history of the electric guitar, called It Might Get Loud. It's definitely worth checking out.

And I am fat and this band is cake.

both of their records are really good.
I saw the White Stripes live in San Diego. They were OK, but I'd rather see these fellas..

Great song.

(I liked that head-on-a-stick too. Looked like it was having fun.)

Moanin'

With Jack "Doc" Gillis (White) on drums.

I won't pretend that I know Jack White well, but when Goober & The Peas would make their monthly trip to Grand Rapids to play The Intersection Lounge I'd have a few after-hours beers with 'em, talk some hockey with Shorty.... They had gone through more drummers in a five-year period than Spinal Tap, and young Jack- whose legal guardian was Goober- was the last. Never had the feeling that the kid was so damned creative.

these guys are great. Got turned on to them on NPR All songs Considered.
Creative, fun, very approachable sound and progressive.

Really good in other words.
Check out their website and youtube for tons of live videos, soon you will be singing along.

Will have to investigate further.

fuckin' Rockn'Roll!
Watch the rest of the show!....'Level' is my fav.

must have been in another clip.

uh

I once seen (on a music site) someone post something to the effect of no matter how many bands Jack White makes, they end up all sounding the same in the end.
