C&L's Late Night Music Club With Rage Against The Machine
This is a powerful live performance from the early 90's from RATM. Lead singer Zach de la Rocha rages against "the deciders" at the beginning of this video. Very insightful, indeed.

Do you think that video could possibly be more wrong? Al Gore wasn't perfect, but he actually meant it when he said he would like free and FAIR trade. He actually meant it when he said we needed to clean up the environment.
Bush said many of the same things, but he was lying. Is there anybody out there that thinks eight years of Al Gore would have led us to this point?
Fools are tools. Learn to read, or suffer the consequences.
I'm confused... when that song was written, George H. W. Bush was president. The album was released in 1992. How is Al Gore related to this again?
Powerful indeed.
Agreed. RATM put so much energy into their performance, that it makes their dissenting voice noticeably more potent. We could have used them during the Bush years.
I was in LA during the Democratic Cpnvention of I guess 2000 -- we were at an art gallery and a Japanese exchange student showed us all the rubber bullet wound she had received while attending the Rage Against the Machine street concert. The police broke it up and went apeshit. It was shameful!!!
Rage kicks ass. Bottom line.
A gamer video I made with Rage music. This is what my Doper self likes to do. Don't forget to click on HD

I use to listen to that in my Datsun 210 back in the day when I was 21.(killing in the name of)
I don't think this is from the EARLY 90's. The album this came off of is from '99.
Incorrect. This song is from their debut album which came out in '92.

100,000 people at that protest raging against the machine -- where are they now? Went back to work. 17 years later clinging to jobs, in unemployment lines, scared. Me, too.

This was a peaceful protest we where at and then stuff got ugly--the cops surround all of us and kept screaming go down to the park---but we couldn`t because they had us surrounded. Mothers with strollers, kids just walking, old ppl…you name it. The Denver police used pepper spray and tear gas and kept shoving us. The Denver police kept screaming go to the park-then they started to throw some young kids down on the streets brutally. A group with bright green baseball caps that read "National Lawyers Guild Legal Observer" took statements from all of us to protect the rights of the protesters. It was pretty frightening….The next day they had a fence all around the park where the protesters where suppose to be.
Well I digress..lol
The Rage Against The Machine concert rocked and it was free-and without any incidents.
Guitarist Tom Morello told The Pulse of Radio he has no interest in getting any closer to national politics than he is now. "I've always felt more much comfortable, you know, on the outside, lobbing musical Molotov cocktails over the barbed wire fence and, you know, I believe that both political parties are severely flawed, and neither one of them really represents the true needs of the vast majority of Americans."

This recording of RATM was during the Pinkpop festival, which has nothing to do with gays and lesbians but with "pinksteren", or in English whitsun or pentecost, and pop (in Dutch a doll). Yet the colour is adopted for the festival.
And yes, that is a country where you can say fuck on TV and not bleeped away. Amusing thing happened a few weeks ago in which Enrique Iglesias was interviewed and the presenter regarded his plane as a pussymagnet! Imagine the face of Enrique hearing that, on TV no less. (It even was pre-recorded.
Quite amusing . Here it is.
