T-Pain App Comes to iPhone
It was only a matter of time. Autotune, the once expensive software first made famous in Cher's "Believe" and now ubiquitous in hip-hop thanks to T-Pain, has come to the iPhone with the new app "I Am T-Pain". Now iPhone users can record their voice and have it automatically tuned for instant hip-hop hooks for just $2.99 in the app store.

At $2.99 a pop, that dude will be filthy rich off of this. Hopefully it will be the death knell for the use of it in all things radio hip hop. I can see this thing spreading across middle school, high school, and college campuses faster than swine flu.
It's a fun video and you can tell people will have fun using the app. But I'm guessing it will be a passing fad. I've always wondered what artists do when they perform their songs live when the recorded versions use this manipulation.
