I discovered Paolo Nutini here at the LNMC when they posted the video of the acoustic version of Last Request--one of the best ballads I think I've ever heard, up there with Journey's Open Arms. I went out and bought Nutini's first album and it's become one of my all time favorites. Even my kids can sing all the songs.
