Mike's Blog Round Up
June 1, 2014

Let's recap our weak in review: we fought back tears in Isla Vista and again upon the passing of Maya Angelou; looked at body image and sexism and debunked Erick Erickson's War on Masculinity; we looked at corporate America (Amazon and McDonalds), the living wage and free speech, and had an open letter to Joe the Plumber. We had a lesson on how to apologize (and heard about so many people that should learn how to apologize) and we had a few laughs along the way. Not bad for a gun-filled news week, thanks to the talent of 30 or so (mostly small) blogs with exceptionally talented writers. Thanks for letting me be part of your week, and we'll see you next time!

Alternate Brain explains why the Cosmos series frightens the Fundies.

Lester and Charlie Review have the only poll you must take this week.

Poetry Slam: Mad Kane's Political Madness gives us an Ode To John Boehner, and Piousunyn gives us a... a Benghazi.

Round-up by Tengrain who blogs at Mock, Paper, Scissors and at Liberaland. Send tips, requests, and suggestions to mbru@crooksandliars.com (with "For MBRU" in the subject line).

Can you help us out?

For nearly 20 years we have been exposing Washington lies and untangling media deceit, but now Facebook is drowning us in an ocean of right wing lies. Please give a one-time or recurring donation, or buy a year's subscription for an ad-free experience. Thank you.
