It’s time to observe what I observe every year on this day.

Don Glen Vliet was born today, January 15, in 1941.

Dutch painter Peter van Van Vliet , who was an associate of Rembrandt, may (or may have not) been an ancestor of his. He also may (or may not be) related to Richard Halliburton and Slim Pickens. And who knows, maybe he really did remember being born.

We all know him better as Captain Beefheart.
