Dave Rawlings is perhaps best known as the longtime partner of Americana darling Gillian Welch. Rawlings is one of those consummate musicians that exhibits a tasteful virtuosity whether he's writing, recording, or producing. Here's a live performance of one of my favorite songs to come along in a while. His backing band isn't too shabby either, featuring Welch and members of Old Crow Medicine Show.
