I have a tough time picking a favorite song off of The Magnetic Fields' three-volume 1999 masterpiece 69 Love Songs, but today it's this one, with a cute video a Youtube user created for a school project. "Love Is Like A Bottle of Gin" is pretty darn close, though.
The album is a gigantic sprawl of brilliance that should send some of the best Broadway writers running back to their piano benches to work harder. Check it out if you never have. It's well worth it.
