SIngers Bicker With Twitter
By MaxMarginal Friday Mar 13, 2009 6:05pmTrent Reznor has 40,000 followers on Twitter, and the gumption to tell them all, "You know that feeling you get when somebody embarrasses themselves so badly YOU feel uncomfortable? Heard Chris Cornell’s record? Jesus."
I've felt that kind of sympathetic embarrassment both upon hearing Chris Cornell's first record, and upon hearing that a rock legend in his mid-forties is making fun of another one on Twitter. There's nothing uncommon about aging rockers piling on the youthiness, but this 20th century feud on 21st century technology subtracts a few years too many for my money, as does Cornell's lame attempt at the high road. Let the fun begin!

1) I'm over hearing about Twitter.
2) This story is too tabloid-esque for me to actually comment on. You're right Max, it's a little sad actually.
Cornell has to feel like hes in high school homeroom in his birthday suit. Even though NIN's music has never been as mind-blowing as 1999's The Fragile, Trent has still continued to make at least half-decent records over the past 10 years (Ghosts I-IV as the best example of this, oddly enough). Soundgarden raises my adrenaline by 1,000,000 cc's, Scream makes me feel like I have the flu. Timbaland?? How could you Chris?
HAHA. Well granted the comment is a little sad (unprofessional, and yes, if you have 40,000 followers and are a celebrity you need to be professional on twitter), everyone has to keep up with the technology. grs, I suggest you take another look at twitter: it is much more useful than it seems. Its potential goes far beyond broadcasting the mundane details of your life.
