"Well, I think what’s important is that what Art Pope has done in North Carolina could be done pretty much in any state. He’s shown that one really wealthy individual can almost rule." -- Jane Mayer in "North Carolina: Battleground State"

North Carolina is not just a voting rights battleground, but a proving ground for passing a hard-right agenda in other states. William Barber, Moral Monday protesters are pushing back week after week in a movement spreading across North Carolina and to other states.

On Saturday, February 8, thousands will gather again in Raleigh to protest North Carolina's hard-right attacks on teachers and the poor, and against the worst voter suppression bill in the nation. Find out more about the event here. Consider yourselves invited.
