Local H came around on the wave of the whole grunge thing, but didn't hit until the wave began to break in the mid-late '90s. Most referred to their sound (at least in this era) as post-grunge, probably because they weren't from Seattle and their sound wasn't quite as heavy as other grunge bands. But that's not too important in the grand scheme of things, since the music is good and categorizing it takes a backseat to quality. Also, Local H still plays shows and even releases an album every few years. Original drummer, Joe Daniels, is no longer a part of the project, but Scott Lucas continues to release new material and perform under the name with other drummers.
