As a handful of sympathetic protesters gathered outside the Las Vegas federal courthouse, Cliven Bundy made a court appearance on Thursday, but refused to enter a plea. Choosing instead to go the full sovereign citizen route, Mr. Bundy deferred to a federal magistrate, who entered a not-guilty plea on his behalf, according to the Las Vegas Sun.

Bundy's next hearing will be a detention hearing. Since it took the Feds 2 years to round him up, it's unlikely they'll let him out, especially since he doesn't recognize their authority.

Bundy's current lawyer, Joel Hansen, referred to him as a "political prisoner."

No heartbreak here for Cliven. I don't really care if he respects federal authority or not. At this point, possession is 9/10ths of the law, and he's in the possession of the feds. That is all.
