Mark Cuban took on Neil Cavuto's smarmy effort to slime Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation last night, smacking him down with the same free-market philosophy Cavuto worships.
“Look. You have to ask yourself what’s the market for a former president giving a speech, right?” he reminded Cavuto. “So first of all, Ronald Reagan was paid more than a million dollars for speeches in 1989. He went to Japan and gave two speeches."
BAM, right in Cavuto's free-market kisser.
"Second of all, Bill Clinton made, I think it was $250K give or take, for a lot of speeches. I’ve made $250K for a bunch of speeches. For the most part, he gets paid a little more than I do, but the point is he was right inside the market. He wasn’t getting paid more or less than the market.”
Cavuto then tried, and failed, to slime the Clinton Foundation with pay-to-play while conveniently ignoring Trump's current scandals in that deparment. Cuban dispatched that too, reminding that they've been investigated more than anyone else, and yet have come up clean.
It was truly delicious to watch Mark Cuban smack Neil Cavuto around with his own philosophy. Cavuto may wish he had a few more weeks of sick time left.
