The White House press secretary refused to tell America who Trump meant when he tweeted that 'they [Puerto Rico] want everything done for them' after he was criticized by their mayor for his hurricane relief efforts.

Last week San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz hasn't minced words after Trump and his administration slow played their hurricane relief efforts. After Homeland Security's Elaine Duke called our response a "really good news story."

"When you are drinking from a creek, it's not a good news story. When you don't have food for a baby, it's not a good news story. When you have to pull people -- i'm sorry, but that really upsets me and frustrates me," Yulin Cruz said.

Trump took issue with her attacks and tweeted,

During today's presser, a reporter asked if Trump's comments will come back on him when he visits Puerto Rico.

He asked, " Do you expect [those comments] to come up?"

Sanders blew right past his question and said she expected " the focus to be on the recovery efforts..."

Another reporter picked up his thread and asked, "Who exactly wants everything done for them? Who is they"

Sanders replied, "I haven't talked to him specifically about a defined of who they might be. Again, the federal government is doing everything within our powers and capabilities to first focus on the life-sustaining and life-saving measures as well as on the rebuilding process."
