Kyrsten Sinema's announcement made #karilake jump for joy. But is it really good for Republicans? Might it backfire on Sinema with a strong Democratic challenger now free to launch an aggressive campaign against her? Former Biden admaker Cliff Schecter and former Dem congressional staffer Matt Robison discuss threats and opportunities in a Beyond Politics mini podcast.

Cliff also shares stories he's rarely discussed about personal interactions with Sinema when he was writing his book on John McCain ("The Real McCain") and spending time in Arizona. This was back in 2007/8 when she called herself a Green. And on a Netroots Nation panel, when she was still a state rep and gave away what she was really about.

Could she be offered a role in the administration to go away? Can she be stripped of all committee positions and should she be? Does she have any leverage (hint: very little), seeing as she's unpopular among not just Democrats, but Independents -- and Republicans only like her because of her being a pain the ass to Democratic leadership. Will they still like her when they find out she's openly bisexual and very pro-choice, among other GOP heresies?

In other words, who's her constituency? Find out more in the video.
