Rep. Andy Ogles was one of the holdouts when Kevin McCarthy was trying to get his party united behind him for the Speakership. But he switched and ultimately backed McCarthy. Long Island fabulist George Santos had McCarthy's back. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna was also a holdout who eventually backed McCarthy. McCarthy needed these people. They now have something in common: they're liars—all three of them.

You probably know about Santos's fabricated history. Luna was recently outed as a liar. Move over, guys, because Rep. Andy Ogles wants some of that action.

Ogles was the congressman who yelled, "It's your fault!" at Biden during the State of the Union.

WTVF did a deep dive into Ogles' history, and as it turns out, he's not a noted economist, and he was never a trained police officer and international sex crimes expert. He was, in fact, sworn in as a volunteer reserve deputy with the Williamson County Sheriff's Office in July 2009.

Ogles' college major was not in economics, and his work at a think tank was actually administrative.

Via WTVF:

His congressional website claims Ogles, as chief operating officer, was responsible for "overseeing operations and investments in 12 countries."

"I began working volunteering my time," Ogles said on Washington Watch. "Then I ended up becoming a chief operating officer. It was just one of those I didn't really intend to set out to be so heavily involved in the fight against human trafficking. It just kinda occurred."

Privately, people associated with the group dispute Ogles' characterization of his role, although they were reluctant to get into a war of words with a member of Congress.

In fact, the group's tax returns show Ogles held a part-time position that paid him a grand total of $4,000.

How embarrassing. It would be for most people, but I'm starting to see a pattern with Republicans here. They have no shame.
