Republicans just can't seem to learn. Ever. Maybe that's why they're trying to ban books.

On Tuesday voters--and in particular women--delivered a resounding rejection to Republicans of their politics of division. Specifically their non-stop attacks on women's rights.

In Ohio and Virginia, women said NO to right-wing governors obsessed with banning abortion, in the former with a ballot measure enshrining abortion rights in the Constitution, the latter by not only holding the State Senate, but adding a takeover of the Virginia State House. Here in Philadelphia, we elected our first female mayor.

So how did Republicans respond? As usual, by doubling down on their stupid, cruel, unpopular policies. In Michigan, this meant GOP State Senators defending a columnist at the Detroit News--well, not anymore, he was canned--for calling sitting Attorney General Dana Nessel the C-word. Despicable. Disgusting. Degrading.

Republican.

In response, State Senator Dayna Polehanki stood up and delivered an incredible diatribe ripping the crap out of right wingers who would say such a thing and the Republican officeholders defending them.

Cliff Schecter put together his own video, including Polehanki's speech, why she had to deliver it, and the GOP's inability to to pick up the hint from Tuesday. The sarcasm is biting, the humor funny, and the video an absolute must-watch. And after you're done, go subscribe to Cliff's channel for more videos like this one!
