Trump To SCOTUS: 'I'm Gonna Need A Favor, Though'

I honestly was not expecting Hair Füror to do this, as if the compromised and illegitimate SCOTUS rules against him, he’ll be off the primary ballots in many states, so this is not without risk. That said, if SCOTUS does take it, and rule very narrowly and he’s off the ballot in Colorado, well, big whoop: he was never going to win it anyway. But I’m getting ahead of the story:

The WaPo reports:

Donald Trump asked the U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday to ensure he can appear on primary ballots across the country by invalidating a ruling from Colorado’s top court that said Trump is ineligible to serve as president again.

[…] In Wednesday’s filing, Trump’s lawyers urged the justices to quickly reverse the ruling of Colorado’s top court and “return the right to vote for their candidate of choice to the voters.” Judges, they said, should not be allowed to prevent voters from casting ballots for the leading Republican presidential candidate.

So all the parties involved have now urged SCOTUS to take up the case, and quickly: both Colorado and Maine hold their primaries on Super Tuesday, March 5. And they need time to get ballots printed and distributed.

Given the high stakes, legal observers believe that SCOTUS —one-third of whom were appointed by this menace to democracy— must answer these questions they have never answered before.

The U.S. Supreme Court is not obligated to take the Colorado case, but the justices are likely to intervene in such a consequential matter. Legal scholars and election officials have urged the court to quickly settle the issue so all states follow the same policies.

I have no idea how this will play out. On one hand, the originalists are going to be in knots, and on the same hand, how does the Court say that the Constitution is un-constitutional?

I also fully expect that other Republican primaries are looking to see if they can switch over to caucuses in the event that SCOTUS rules against their Orange Jeebus.
