Great news, via Mother Jones! It looks like Elizabeth Warren has secured a seat on the Senate Banking Committee, subject to final approval by the caucus as a whole.

Andy Kroll:

The Huffington Post, citing four sources "familiar with the situation," says Warren has locked up a seat on the committee. Politicoconfirmed the news soon after. Warren's spot on the committee must still be approved by the Senate Democratic caucus, which is expected to happen. The news comes after Mother Jones reported last month that big banks and their lobbyists in Washington were pushing to keep Warren off the committee.

It looks like the other seat will go to Senator Joe Manchin, a Blue Dog Democrat. But if anyone can successfully woo Republicans and Democrats alike, it's Elizabeth Warren.

I think a happy dance is in order.
