The Pentagon did not release any names of service members killed in Afghanistan this week. The total number of allied service members killed in Afghanistan remains 3,389.

The following notable names lost their lives this week:

Author Tom Clancy, 66
Filmmaker Carlo Lizzani, 91
Musician Butch Warren, 74
