C&L's Late Nite Music Club with All-American Rejects
By MaxMarginal Thursday Sep 24, 2009 7:00pmI've never cared a lick for Oklahoma's All-American Rejects, and it's painful for me to admit that this clap-happy piece of teenage spite is my favorite radio hit of the year. Singer Tyson Ritter is talking about some girl when he says "When you hear this song and sing along I hope it gives you hell," but it applies to me too.
What guilty pleasures are you tapping your toes in shame to?

Hmm. I guess my guilty pleasure is I started listening to some techno, dub-step specifically.
May not be your cup of tea but this is a very different sounding song.
Mistabishi-White Collar Grime
Taylor Swift's Love Story. It's just a great generic rock arrangement / melody. She's like a female Bryan Adams.
Speaking of AAR, I don't care much for them either, but "Move Along" has a great sentiment and intelligent lyrics.

Anarchy In The U.K.
Down On The Street
Afrika Bambaataa - World Destruction
Rebel Without A Pause
World's Famous
Damn! Missed your subject line there, m_k!
First one to find Steve Cook with Melly Mel wins teh internets.
The Message
I was trying to remember this the other day.

U-MV043 - MC 900 Ft Jesus - But If You Go
Digable Planets - Rebirth of Slick
Mos Def - Quiet Dog

Youssou Ndour: I Bring What I Love - New Africa
this band sucks. They are crippled from following the same old worn out path. The lyrics are predictable and the sound is painfully old and over played.
sure doesn't track that way.
And actually the stuff I posted aren't guilty pleasures at all. No shameful toe tapping at my house! :)
Hope no one thinks that my links are songs I consider guilty pleasures.

And for just plain ol' guilty pleasures, it's gotta be AC/DC's "It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Want to Rock and Roll)":

Chickenfoot-Joe Satriani, Sammy Hagar, Chad Smith and Michael Anthony.

Avenida Revolucion
The song is about the paradox of affluence and how one nation (the U.S. ) is inherently exploiting Mexico with unilateral policies and exploitative practices that pressure the disenfranchised to cross into the U.S. and earn a living by whatever means necessary (into the fire)
very infectious

Don'cha by The Pussycat Dolls. Shitty, I know.
CopaCabana-- I want to kick my own ass for liking it.
Except for the Taylor Swift thing up towards the top you have the only songs to feel guilty about. I confess to listening to and enjoying the Spice Girls and Kiss (although Kiss seems to have some cred now so maybe I don't need to feel guilty about that anymore.)
