C&L's Late Nite Music Club with Amadou and Mariam
By MaxMarginal Thursday Oct 08, 2009 7:00pmA blind man and woman from Mali get married in 1980, make music together for years and get some recognition internationally after 25+ years of hard work? Better late than never! The recent past has found Amadou and Mariam opening for Coldplay, jamming with David Gilmour, and getting the accolades that you, having now listened to the sizzling hotness that is this track, agree that they completely deserve.

Manou Gallo from the Ivory Coast, now in Belgium here
So happy that they have not gone unnoticed. They have been one of my favorite artists for a while now. They are truly talented. They have many songs produced by Manu Chao, which are amazing. Take the time to download their music.
Haunting and beautiful music.
I know EXACTLY how they feel
My 15-year-old daughter loves these two, and has for several years. I believe Dimanche à Bamako got her hooked. Me, I'm still a Mbilia Bel kinda guy.
The material often heard on African radio stations makes rock seem stale and forced.
A haunting work.
thanks for posting this, I have not heard this before, but I have falling for it in a big way
Chorus.
Je pense a toi, mon amour, ma bien aimee
(I think of you my love, my beloved)
Ne m’abandonne pas, mon amour, ma cherie
(Don't leave me, my love, my dear)
